Healthy hearts
are music to
our ears.

Learn your risk for heart disease.

Listen up! Everyone should know their heart disease risk.

The more you know about your heart health, the better you can take care of yourself. That’s why we offer our HeartAware Health Risk Assessment (HRA) to anyone who wants to know more about their cardiovascular risks. Simply complete and submit the questionnaire and you’ll receive a report describing your risk and recommendations for next steps. If there is reason for concern, a member of our team will contact you to determine if further testing is needed.

Keep the beat going. Detect heart disease early with a heart scan.

A heart scan, also called a heart CT scan, detects early build-up of calcium in the coronary arteries — the most common cause of heart disease. It’s a safe, simple way to keep the beat going — and only takes 15 minutes!

At Edward-Elmhurst Health, we offer two heart scan options:

  • $75 Comprehensive and Personalized Heart CT Scan - Includes other important screenings, such as cholesterol, glucose, BMI and a blood pressure check, along with a one-on-one meeting with a cardiac nurse to talk over your risk factors and next steps.
  • $49 Heart Scan only Option (NEW!) - Now available at select locations. This option does not include the additional screenings or personalized cardiac nurse consultation. Results will be sent to your primary care provider, who will contact you to discuss next steps.

Who should have a heart scan?

There are certain factors that may make you — or someone you know — at risk for a cardiac event. Men over age 40 and women over age 45 with one or more certain risk factors should make an appointment for a heart scan. These include:

  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Smoking
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Family history of heart disease

Our experts are committed to proactive cardiac care and it all starts with you. You can schedule your heart scan by calling 630-527-2800 or schedule online 24/7.

We offer $75 CT heart scans at four locations including Elmhurst, Lombard, Naperville, and Plainfield. The $49 heart scan only* option is available at Bolingbrook, Lombard, and Plainfield locations only. Payment is due at time of service.

*For the $49 Heart Scan only option, there are no additional screenings or nurse consults provided. The results will be sent to your primary care physician. If you do not have a primary care physician, one will be assigned to you.

Please note: If you are experiencing symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath, the heart scan isn’t for you. Call 911 if you think you are experiencing a heart attack. If you have had a previous cardiac event, angioplasty or open-heart surgery, you will not benefit from this screening.
